Personal Daily Brief Terms of Service

1. Agreement
These Terms are an agreement between you and Fire Moat Meridian LLC, doing business as Personal Daily Brief ("PDB," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
PDB creates a personalized daily audio briefing from public news and data sources and the profile you provide. Briefs are written by an AI model and read by AI voices.
3. Beta
PDB is in beta. During beta the Service is free, seats may be limited, features may change or be removed, and we may pause or end the beta at any time. We will not charge you anything without first showing you the price and the renewal terms and getting your express agreement.
4. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 to create an account. You may use the "High school" setting to set up a brief for a teenager in your household, and you are responsible for that use. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Give us accurate information.
5. AI-generated content and accuracy
Your brief is generated by AI from sources gathered each night. We work to keep it accurate: facts come from sourced material, and we check certain facts automatically before a brief is published. Briefs can still contain errors, omissions or out-of-date information. Briefs are for general information only and are not financial, investment, legal, medical or other professional advice. Market segments are not a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Verify anything important before relying on it. If you hear an error, tell us at info@personaldailybrief.ai.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the information you give us, including your profile and any source you add. You grant us a license to use it to provide, secure and improve the Service for you. You are responsible for having the right to share any source you add.
7. Our content and your license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to listen to and keep your briefs for your own non-commercial use. You may not republish, broadcast, sell or redistribute briefs, or use them to build a competing service. The PDB name, design, hosts and software belong to us. News and data summarized in a brief remain the property of their publishers.
8. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service, including by: breaking the law; attempting to access other accounts or our systems without permission; reverse engineering or scraping the Service; interfering with its operation; or using it to create a competing product.
9. Connected services
If you connect Google Calendar, access is read-only and you can disconnect at any time. Your use of Google is also governed by Google's terms.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end your account if you break these Terms or if we discontinue the Service; if we discontinue it, we will try to give you reasonable notice.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, and we do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the change.
15. Paid plans
PDB does not currently offer paid plans. Before we introduce one, we will update these Terms with its price, billing period, renewal and cancellation terms, and we will not charge you without your express agreement.
